Announcing...
Mommy and Daddy started a business! Word is getting out slowly, but the official announcement is here! Gail Montgomery Photography located at http://www.gailmontgomery.com/ is open for business and I've already got a few bookings!
I have gotten so many requests to take pictures, it is time to turn my hobby into a small, VERY small business. Don't worry, I'm not quitting my day job. So, if you get a chance, check out the site and shoot me an email about what you think.
There is also a new blog just for my professional ventures now at http://www.gailmontgomeryphotography.blogspot.com/. I figure it is probably best not to mix business with my personal life.
Thanks for everybody's encouragement, love and support... especially my very loving husband, Greg's!

Love the spin move!
Handy Manny is a computer animated kids show on the Disney channel. It is kinda like Bob the Builder meets Dora the Explorer (I think, I've never watched either one!) Anyway, Manny and his tools were on the case and Wesley just LOVES their little "Fix it right" song. But, he thinks it needs a guitar solo.

7 shots
I didn't have help with baby wrangeling, and Wesley didn't sit still for long at all! I took 7 shots and this was the best one. I'll take it!
Nolan: A boy and his dog
I know, I just took pics of Nolan last month. But this little chunk of pure love is the best model EVER! He sits so nicely and just gives you the biggest toothess grin ever and you just fall into his eyes. Seriously, he has that "love me" look down pat! We had to do some shots of Nolan with the best dog ever, his Duke. Duke is the worlds biggest cat in a dog body, whereas my cats are dogs in kitty bodies. Duke, the big bulldog who is supposed to protect his family is a giant mushball of love. He'll do anything you ask, which makes him a great photography subject. Put the two together and whoa... watch out! Needless to say, it was the best photo shoot EVER!

A long day
Today Wesley went to the dentist for the first time. He did a great job, the dentist brushed his teeth and even cooperated for an X ray. I hope all his dental visits are this easy in the future! It was just a long day because we had to get there early to fill out paperwork and then the dentist was running a little late. The appointment ran into lunchtime and then into naptime, so Wesley was a very tired little man by the time we left. He fell asleep in the car on the way home and therefore didn't have lunch until after 2!

But Mom...
Mommy, can I go outside?
But Mom! I wanna go outside now!
Sleep little one
He looks so peaceful when he sleeps. The pictures really don't do it justice. I just want to scoop him up for a cuddle.

Getting ready for St Patrick's Day
We tried to get some pics for St. Patrick's Day, but Wesley wasn't really in the mood for pics. This was the best we got today. I've still got 8 more days...

The great outdoors!
It has been a crazy week for weather! We started the week with temperatures in the single digits and the most snow we've had all winter. Then, today, the temperatures were in the 70's, the heat is off in the house and all the windows are open.
Wesley is LOVING being outdoors and we went for a walk of sorts... mostly we'd walk 5 feet or so, stop, check out whatever was on the ground, find a rock, stick or some other object, pick it up and then move on another 3 feet. Yeah, and following the sidewalk wasn't exactly the path Wesley wanted to follow.
I didn't get many good pictures, looking at all the cool stuff on the ground was so much more interesting than looking up at Mommy with that camera in front of her face. But Wesley did attempt to give me many cool rocks, twigs and sticks. Ahh, it is fun being the mother of a boy!

Sometimes one just isn't enough
While the cats away, the mice will play... I was working late tonight, so Daddy shot this little video for me (and you)!

Wesley's first snow day
I don't know what the official snow fall total is for this storm, but it is the first "real" accumulation of snow we've had that Wesley has been able to experience. I mean, last winter he wasn't even able to sit up and we don't get much snow here in Maryland, nothing like Rochester, that is for sure! I knew it wouldn't be a long visit outdoors, but I thought Wesley would enjoy a little frolick in the snow. The video is from the first moments I set him down. Then I ran inside and grabbed the camera for a few photos, you know me... every experience is a photo op.
I think he had fun the snow, well for the first 10 minutes. Wesley mostly just walked around, he had a couple tumbles into the snow, but had a soft landing. I thought he might try to pick it up, but he didn't try. He is still pretty young to be playing in the snow, but he found it interesting... until he pulled off his mittens and found it to be pretty cold. Even the cats enjoyed watching the snow fall. I guess the condensation forming on the door was pretty tasty for Murphy.
After Wesley was "done"with the cold of being outdoors, I brought him in, got him warmmed up and then I got a little bowl and filled it with snow. I gave it to Wesley just so he could put his fingers in it and really check it out. He immediately picked up a small fistfull and ate the snow... such a boy!

Wesley giggles are the best!
You might not have noticed, but Wesley is a very serious little one. I mean he is so observant, taking in the world and his brain just absorbs all the information. He is really smart and just so clever! He isn't the smiliest baby and I have to work hard and have Greg's help to get those smile pics I post on here. But I have one sure fire way to make him laugh and laugh... It must be a Mommy thing, but I know just how to tickle him to make him erupt into a fit of giggles. Here is a little video of some belly laughs. I hope you enjoy the torture! Wesley doesn't seem to mind too much.
And excuse everyone's appearance in this video... we were having a very lazy Sunday.
