In a lot of ways, the title of this post 'a full day of relaxation' sums up the second day of our vacation. Wesley was a busy baby, as usual, crawling about and pulling himself up on things. Everyone did a lot of nature watching, enjoying the many scenic views offered by our beautiful location. It was great reconnecting with family and we had a nice sunset as we sat around a campfire enjoying toasted marshmallows. That is... until we saw a BEAR watching over our campsite! Of course, I ran into the cabin and grabbed my camera and a few of us watched the bear as we both kept our distance from each other. The man in the next cabin over spends whole summers up in the mountains and he said the bear and his mom were around three summers ago and then the mom went missing. The little bear roams the same woods and is quite thin. The neighbor did leave a pot of food down by the lake for the bear. Needless to say, we were on high alert for the bear the rest of the week!
I found my love of photography blossom after the birth of my son. I knew he wouldn't stay little for long and I wanted to remember all of it. The beauty of first smiles, the fun of first meals and the wonder in experiencing all of life's simple pleasures. Through all our journeys, I found the most fun in trying to capture the moment with my photography. Thanks to my loving husband's support and the encouragement of my friends and family, it would be my pleasure to capture your own special memories.
